What is Bed bug monitoring for firehouses?

Since firefighters continuously provide emergency services and inspections in people’s homes, it is quite easy for Bed bugs to enter the firehouse. One infestation a few years ago in Washington D.C. a few years ago was so severe that firefighters were sleeping in their personal vehicles to avoid being bitten in the firehouse bunkrooms!
